Why clear them

A blocked gutter is a leak or structural damage waiting to happen

In autumn, leaves and debris build up in gutters. When water can't reach the downpipe, it overflows and can end up in the structure.

Rotting matter also corrodes the gutters and adds to their weight, and at worst the gutter comes loose. In winter the blockage freezes and the problem gets worse.

For apartment blocks the height limit is 12 metres, typically three storeys depending on the roof structure. On larger sites we clear the gutters from the roof.
